I'm so glad this manga is is back from hiatus - even though the releases are still rather slow, it is better than nothing for months and months!  I have to say that I started reading this manga because of the slight similarity to another favorite of mine Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge. Slight in that both girls were comparatively similar in their apprentice to horror girls, lol. But Sawako is as different in personality from Sunako in every way possible, except in that they both care about their friends. As much as I love YamaNade for its parody-comedy, KnT follows a traditional shoujo storyline of a coming of age romance. It is sweet, has plenty of awkward misunderstandings and drama, but it also manages (so far) to not go over the top the way many of them do. It keeps the characters and their situations simple, realistic, and honest.

I have to admit that the storyline did start to drag on for me, Sawako and Kazehaya make a cute and sweet couple, but Sawako is rather too sweet and naive for me... the plot drags on a lot because of it.  It is weird, I actually like that she is more innocent and naive, it just doesn't lend itself well for pacing a drama shoujo manga. Thank goodness she has friends! I actually love both of them and it was too long in coming for them to start having story lines of their own!! I always thought it would make for a much stronger manga if all three became central characters, instead the two just adding support. Maybe it was the prolonged neglect of both characters that made me want something for them even more! So, I just had to write a little bit on how much I'm loving the new storyline!

I love Chizu, she is my favorite of the girls in the manga with Yano is a close second. The story lines for both girls look so promising too! I love Chizu's reaction to Ryuu's confession! As much as I would love the two of them together, it makes sense from her characters perspective. I think Ryuu's hand was kinda forced into the confession a little earlier than he would have liked, but it had to happen at some point and his reaction too was interesting. I think he has been waiting for Chizu to see him in a different way for a long time and having to always conceal it and play big/little brother was hard. It will be interesting to see how/if Ryuu can slowly change Chizu's mind in how she thinks about him. He is a smart boy, and I'm sure he has thought about it for a long time...

I also like how Yano is starting to get more attention (about time)! So far she has been the most neglected! I love how aware, smart and thoughtful she really is and that someone has finally seen that. I think it will be interesting to see her drop her guard a bit. I also like how not everything is not smooth sailing for Sawako and Kazehaya, little hints are given... it is hard work being in a relationship and it is obvious that the two of them are in different stages of development... will Sawako mature quick enough to stay with Kazehaya? will he understand that she needs more time to grow and wait? He doesn't seem as understanding and intuitive as Ryuu is towards Chizu, but then again he hasn't had time to really get to know Sawako yet... yep, this manga is starting to get interesting again!! Just wish it was released quicker! ^_^
